{"id":2269,"date":"2026-07-18T00:18:02","date_gmt":"2026-07-18T00:18:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cnnglobalnews.com\/2026\/07\/18\/roger-waters-calls-out-west-for-banning-rt\/"},"modified":"2026-07-18T00:18:02","modified_gmt":"2026-07-18T00:18:02","slug":"roger-waters-calls-out-west-for-banning-rt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cnnglobalnews.com\/?p=2269","title":{"rendered":"Roger Waters calls out West for banning RT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Pink Floyd co-founder has also slammed UK and EU elites for openly pushing for war with Russia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters has lambasted Western governments for pushing for war with Russia and banning RT in order to freely disseminate the warmongering <em>\u201cpropaganda of the ruling class.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Appearing on Tucker Carlson\u2019s podcast, published on Friday, Waters expressed dismay that <em>\u201csome people in the governments of the United States of America, and the UK, and the European Union are making blood-curdling, bloodthirsty noises about\u201d<\/em> a potential military conflict with Russia.<\/p>\n<p>The Pink Floyd co-founder noted that EU nations, including Germany, are rapidly increasing their military spending and funneling taxpayers\u2019 money <em>\u201cinto a big piggy bank in order to fight the Russians.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe Russians don\u2019t want to invade Europe.
